Nurseries In Bletchley

In September 2022 Chestnuts Primary opened our own nursery. The nursery is an integral part of Chestnuts and will support all children at the beginning of their learning journey.

We look forward to welcoming children to our nursery in the term after their third birthday.  We will be offering morning or afternoon sessions. There is also the option of attending all day for those in receipt of the government 30-hour funding, for those in receipt of 15-hour funding there will be the opportunity to pay for additional sessions. We can also offer wrap around care in the form of a breakfast club and after school club for an additional fee.

At Chestnuts we recognise that children engage with other people and their environment through playing, exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically. These characteristics underpin learning and development across all areas of the curriculum and support the individual child to remain an effective and motivated learner. We recognise that all children are unique and that they learn at different times and in different ways. We also value the importance of following the children’s own interests and learning through play.

The experienced and caring staff will work with you to settle your child quickly and will regularly update you on how they are getting on. Resources are made accessible in order that children can make their own choices and the displays and creative areas are developed to enhance children’s interests.

Community nurses who visited described our nursery as "calm and structured and such a happy place for the children" and a visiting health visitor informed us "I have visited 27 nurseries this year and this is the best one I have seen! The children are settled, happy and this is everything an early years setting should be." It really is a special place where children are thriving.
