Ordering your school uniform during the Coronavirus Pandemic
Nationwide have provided us with an updated guide to ordering during the current pandemic. A copy of this guide can be found below along with an order form; returns form and a printable tape measure.
Our school uniform is available to order from our supplier Nationwide School Uniforms and can be ordered via their website.
At Chestnuts Primary, we are proud of our school uniform and it is an expectation that all children attending will wear the approved school uniform with pride. Our school uniform must be worn when attending school, on school trips or when representing the school unless instructed otherwise. ‘Choose your attitude’ is one of our Chestnuts Ways and we firmly believe that together, if we empower our children to take care and pride in their appearance, this will set them up for a positive learning day.

Footwear
For health and safety reasons, we do not allow children to wear shoes with platform soles or high heels. All children are required to wear plain black shoes without logos as stated in the uniform list. If boots are worn, these should also be plain black. Please avoid large boots which prevent your child from sitting comfortably on the floor.
Jewellery
For many reasons, including health and safety, we ask that children do not wear jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are a wristwatch and small stud earrings in pierced ears, which should be removed during PE or covered with tape if this is not an option. Please note: Teachers are not permitted to remove earrings.
Extreme haircuts and long hair
At Chestnuts, we discourage ‘extreme’ haircuts/styles that could serve as a distraction to other children and for health and safety reasons including the spread of headlice, we ask for long hair to be tied back during the school day.
Make Up and Nail Varnish
Make up and nail varnish or fake nails should not be worn to school. Pupils will be given a baby wipe to remove any visible makeup and parents will be contacted to discuss the matter.
